Restoration

Bruce is a highly experienced antique restorer who has worked in the trade for 21 years. His experience ranges from 17th century Oak to Vicorian Mahogany and Pine. As well as his regular discerning customers Bruce is often asked to repair furniture damaged in transit and has worked for other shops and dealers. He will undertake all kinds of repair work from rebuilds to broken chair legs.



Repair & Veneering

Bruce has a large store of reclaimed timber and veneers which means he can closely match anything that needs replacing.

Finishing Work

Most finishing work undertaken is either French or wax polishing. Bruce will always try to restore an original finish and will only strip and repolish as a last resort. For wax polishing Bruce uses beeswax for period Oak furniture and Briwax for stripped pine
