to Esox Antiques, a family business,
run by ourselves Bruce & Kate Elston.
On site we have an antique furniture showroom and a restoration
workshop.

Bruce
has been in the trade for 19 years, working as a restorer
for various antique shops and dealers. Kate’s background
is in retail management. Bruce started work in North Cornwall
before moving to the Cotswolds where he restored for a
prestigious shop in Chipping Camden. Examples of his work
at that time were featured in the Millers guide.

After
a brief spell abroad we moved back to Devon in 1998 when
Bruce took the plunge and set up our own business working
from Holsworthy,North Devon. We moved to base our business
from home in Halwill Junction in 2002.

In
December 2004 we decided to branch out into the retail
sector and open a showroom. The furniture on offer ranges
from Georgian to Edwardian with some earlier pieces.
We feature Oak, pine, mahogany and walnut pieces. The
price reflects the quality of the restoration, drawers
run smoothly, doors fit and the polishing is out of
the top drawer. All pieces are restored sympathetically
keeping the character of the item. All wood worm is
treated.

live on site at Henderbarrow Cottages on the Okehampton
